Oatmeal chocolate cookies - Havrekakor med choklad

Havrekakor med choklad

These cookies are quick and easy to make from ingredients you normally have in your pantry.

36 cookies

2/3 cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
dash salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 ¾ cups oatmeal
good 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
or hazelnuts
good 1/3 cup coarsely chopped
baking chocolate
good 1/3 cup cooking oil
scant ¼ cup water

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, oatmeal, nuts, chocolate and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Add oil and water and stir it all to a batter. Dab it out on a greased baking plate (or use baking paper) with about 2 inches in between, since the cookies float out during baking.

Bake in the middle of the oven at 175C/gasmark 4 for about 10 minutes per plate or until the cookies are golden. Allow to cool for a minute or so, loosen them and put them on a rack to cool.
