Creamy peach dessert - Krämig persikoform

Krämig persikoform

Make a delicious peach dessert, something between a cheesecake and a pie. If fresh peaches are available, use them.

1 pie, 7 to 8 servings

10 biscuits, e.g. Digestives
1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsps brown sugar
4 tbsps melted butter or margarine
1 can peach halves, 1 lb 10 oz
7 oz cream cheese
good 1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
good 1/3 cup almonds, scalded
and peeled

Crush the biscuits and mix them with cinnamon, brown sugar and melted fat. Press this out in the bottom of a pie pan, diameter approx 8 inches. Bake in the middle of the oven at 175C/gasmark 4 for about 10  minutes and allow to cool slightly.

Drain the peaches and save the liquid. Put the peach halves, cut side down, in the pie shell. Save a half or so for decoration.

Stir cream cheese with sugar, vanilla sugar and approx 4 tbsps peach liquid until mixture is smooth. Spoon this on top of the peaches. Shred the almonds and sprinkle it on top of it all. Bake in the middle of the oven until the batter has set, at 175C/gasmark 4 for 30 to 40 minutes. Allow to cool.

Slice remaining peach halves and decorate the pie.

Serve and enjoy!
