Creamy chocolate pudding - Krämig chokladpudding

The chocolate pudding does not take long to make and it really is good. A dab of whipped cream and berries of the season and there you have it …

4 to 5 servings

2½ oz dark chocolate
good ¾ cup sugar
4 tbsps Maizena or cornflour
2 cups milk
½ tsp vanilla sugar

whipped cream
cherries or other berries

Coarsely chop the chocolate. Mix sugar and Maizena in a saucepan and beat in the milk, little by little. Add the chopped chocolate. Heat the mixture on medium heat until the chocolate has melted and it starts to boil. Simmer slowly for a couple of minutes until thickened.

Flavour with vanilla sugar and pour the batter into serving cups or in a bowl. Put in the fridge for about 20 minutes or until set. Beat the cream and put a dollop on each serving, dust with some cocoa and decorate with berries.

If you wish, you can flavour the pudding or the cream with grated orange zest, some Swedish sweet arrack punsch or cognac.
